“What makes this firm different is that we bring a personal approach to litigation,” Wes Hightower says in describing the firm he helped found ten years ago.

Today, Wes focuses his work on commercial litigation, insurance litigation, personal injury and wrongful death, product liability, employment litigation and medical malpractice.

Previously, Wes was a partner at Shannon, Gracey, Ratliff & Miller, L.L.P., and Decker, Jones, McClane, Hall & Bates, L.L.P. He is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell and has been recognized as a Top Attorney in Tarrant County by Fort Worth Magazine (2003, 2004, 2005, 2007), as well as a Texas Super Lawyer by Law and Politics Magazine (2005, 2007, 2008). Wes is admitted to practice before the U.S. Eastern, Western, Southern, and Northern Districts, and the United States Supreme Court.

Wes has defended or prosecuted an array of tort cases involving either serious personal injury or wrongful death and complex commercial matters over his twenty years of trial practice.

Though he has successfully defended a number of personal injury lawsuits and complex commercial litigation cases, he says his most rewarding case came from representing a widow who lost her husband in a truck wreck at a time when she was pregnant. In the end, the case was settled and Wes preserved his client’s worker’s compensation benefits, as well as plenty of financial assistance to help fund a college education for the child. “The settlement in that case was very rewarding to me personally,” he says.

Wes received his undergraduate business degree and law degree from Texas Tech University and was licensed to practice law in 1986.

Wes is proud of the firm that bears his name. “We get the right result,” he says, “but more importantly, we go about it in the right way.”
