“Some jobs allow you to make a living,” says Jennifer H. Litke, “my job allows me to make a difference.” Jennifer is a partner at Blaies & Hightower. She focuses her practice on labor and employment law, commercial litigation and appellate law.

Jennifer is active in the Fort Worth-Tarrant County Young Lawyers Association, where she has served as President (2001), President-Elect, (2000), Vice President, (2000), Secretary, (1999), Treasurer, (1999) and Director (1998). An example of a case in which Jennifer’s work at Blaies & Hightower has made a difference in the lives of her clients involved the family of a child with autism. The family sought legal help when their health insurance company would not cover the therapy which the child’s physicians believed was necessary but too costly for the parents to pay themselves. Blaies & Hightower succeeded in appealing to the insurance company and thus obtained coverage for the therapy.

Jennifer received her undergraduate degree in law and society and political science from the University of Tulsa, where she served as the Student Body President. She was also a member of Omicron Delta Kappa and Mortar Board. She received her law degree, with honors, from the University of Tulsa School of Law. While in law school Jennifer was a member of Phi Delta Phi and served as the Research Editor for Notes and Comments on the Tulsa Law Journal.

Throughout her legal career, Jennifer has received a number of professional honors including being named Outstanding Young Lawyer of Fort Worth and Tarrant County in 2005 by the Tarrant County Young Lawyers Association. She also serves as a Director of the Easter Seals of North Texas and has been a volunteer for the YMCA Annual Scholarship Campaign since 2002.

“At Blaies & Hightower, we see our clients as friends not customers,” Jennifer says. “That’s why we’re different. That’s why we’re better.”
